The goal of DSC Foundation is to protect and promote the conservation of wildlife and wilderness lands through a three pronged approach - funding grants to support research and conservation projects, supporting efforts to educate the general public about conservation issues and advocacy for the rights of hunters whose efforts to promote the tried and proven method of conservation known as the North American Model that has as a core tenet the concept of sustainable use supported by well-regulated hunting. The model was created and fostered by the likes of Theodore Roosevelt, Aldo Leopold, Gifford Pinchot and John Muir. It is the most successful conservation model ever developed and has been copied and successfully implemented in many countries.
